Coffs Harbour Jetty beach on a chilly Autumns morning, just before the rain settled in for the day. The waves were crashing against the rocky shore, making a great focal point for this shot. I plan on visiting this place for a sunrise shoot once my Hitech's arrive.
This is honest to goodness excellence Drew. Usually I would say the light is ehhhh...but honestly, this image makes for up for it in composition which is just incredible, I mean look at the converging lines in this shot, that shoreline is justa eye leader, and it takes us right to the clouds.
And those clouds....utterly stunning! THAT is one killer area of detail in this shot. Down below, the textures really pop, you have a great shot here that really has it all in my opinion, basically.
You really did well with this shot. The only thing I can see is the darkness of the rocks against the left side that is underexposed, other than that, I can't think of much to suggest here.
At first glance, this image didn't seem to me as anything spectacular. However, after looking at it for a few moments, the impact of the shot started to rain down on me. Its probably the clouds that really take my breath away. They really highlight the image.
You captured the crashing waves well, also. The shadows and highlights throughout the entire image. I showed this to a friend, and asked her impression. I quote "It looks like the perfect picture."
Nearly, but not quite. I think its the colour - the blue of the sky is vivid, and beautiful. However, a lot of the colour below the horizon line isn't quite as rich as I would like to see it.

Otherwise, wonderful shot.
