Artist's Comments

There's so much rubbish washed ashore from the floods we've endured. I quite like the composition with the tyre in the foreground.

The foam rushing back into the wash looks like oil. It looks really soiled and dirty, its heartbreaking. The clouds give that emotion too. Its really moving.

I'm pretty sure the foam is from rough sea's, it gets caused by the salt, thanks!

Yeah i know its not really oil, but to me it just looks like it. It looks slick and smearing rather then fresh and frothy. And the icon of the tyre which suggests dirt, grease, oil, pollution, it reinforces that chiaroscuro

Damn good composition! Like what you've done with the highlights of the water surrounding the tyre, really helps draw you to it and is balanced well with the light in the sky:nod:

Great stuff!

Very nice capture as I already told you before :)
I like the dramatic feel to it, especially the sky.
